BSc Assignment Submission Portal MERN Final Year Project Report

Assignment Submission Portal is a complete MERN Stack academic management web application designed to manage the full assignment lifecycle between students and administrators.

The system allows administrators to configure academic structure such as courses, semesters, sections, faculty, subjects, assignment categories, and grade bands. Admins can create assignments as drafts, publish them to eligible students, attach assignment briefs, define deadlines, restrict upload formats and file sizes, allow or block late submissions, close or reopen assignments, extend deadlines, review student submissions, request resubmission, evaluate work, provide marks and feedback, upload evaluated files, and optionally lock completed results.

Students can register using active academic master data, log in using email or enrollment number, view assignments relevant to their course, semester, and section, download assignment files, submit or resubmit work, track submission status, view marks and performance, read notices, manage notifications, raise assignment-related queries, and update profile information.

The project also includes automatic deadline reminder notifications using node-cron, JWT authentication through HTTP-only cookies, role-based route protection, local file uploads, institute branding, academic reports, and realistic Indian seed data for demonstration and testing.
