Project's Overview
Digital Diary with Password Protection is a full-stack MERN web application designed as a secure personal journal, productivity manager, and private digital workspace. Users can write rich-text diary entries, organize entries by category, pin important memories, mark favorites, attach images, videos, and PDFs, manage personal tasks and reminders, maintain checklists, store secret notes behind an additional lock, save personal documents, read PDF books, customize the application appearance, and create backups of selected personal data.
The platform includes optional PIN and Pattern app-lock protection, individual locks for secret notes, password-based authentication, security-question recovery, failed-login lockout, JWT authentication, user-specific data isolation, and a separate administrator CMS. Admin users manage platform content, books, themes, categories, branding, feature flags, users, reports, quotes, support requests, and application settings, while private diary content, secret notes, and personal documents remain outside normal admin access.
The system includes diary CRUD, search, filters, sorting, pagination, favorites, pins, attachments, custom backgrounds, calendar integration, secret notes, document vault, tasks, reminders, checklists, PDF book reading, motivational quotes, diary export, JSON backup and restore, global search, appearance customization, support tickets, and a complete Admin CMS.
