Project's Overview
Event Management System is a full-stack MERN web application developed for managing event planning services, customer bookings, event packages, payments, reviews, enquiries, gallery content, portfolio work, blocked booking dates, and administrative operations.
The public website allows visitors to browse event categories, packages, gallery, portfolio, approved customer reviews, and CMS-managed business information. Customers can create accounts, browse event packages, select an event date, provide venue and guest information, place bookings, monitor booking status, cancel eligible bookings, submit payment transaction details, and review completed events.
The application provides a separate Admin Panel for managing event categories, packages, blocked dates, bookings, payments, customers, gallery, portfolio, reviews, enquiries, website content, reports, and administrator profile settings. Admin users can confirm or reject bookings, verify or reject submitted payment records, complete events, moderate reviews, and generate operational reports with CSV export.
The booking workflow moves through Pending, Confirmed, Rejected, Cancelled, and Completed states. A customer can submit payment information only after the booking is confirmed. Payments are entered manually using an amount, payment method, payment date, and unique transaction reference, after which an administrator verifies or rejects the payment.

Booking Cancellation

Payment Features
This project uses manual/dummy payment recording, not a live payment gateway.

Payment rules include:

The default MongoDB database is event_management. Collections are generated through Mongoose without SQL migrations.
Step 1 — Open Project
