Project's Overview
Multiple Cafe Table Booking System is a full-stack MERN web application designed for online cafe discovery, table availability checking, and reservation management across multiple cafe brands and locations.
Visitors can browse cafes, filter locations using facilities such as Wi-Fi, AC, parking, and outdoor seating, view menus, explore offers, read approved reviews, and access CMS-managed public information. Registered users can select a cafe, choose a booking date and time slot, enter guest count, check available tables, create reservations, track booking status, cancel eligible bookings, manage profile details, and submit reviews after completed visits.
The system calculates table availability from existing MongoDB booking records rather than maintaining a separate inventory counter. A MongoDB partial unique index prevents the same table from being booked for the same date and slot while a booking is in an active reservation state. Booking slots are also validated against each cafe’s operating hours.
The Admin Panel provides centralized control over cafe brands, locations, table categories, physical tables, booking slots, menus, offers, users, bookings, reviews, contact enquiries, homepage banners, CMS pages, and platform configuration.
